Congressman Marc Molinaro released the following statement:

"Our race didn’t go the way we had hoped, but let me tell you, I am so proud of what we’ve built together. This campaign was about more than just winning a seat; it was about standing up for the people who make this state great, who work hard, who love their families, and who believe in the promise of New York and this nation.

"To every volunteer who knocked on doors, made phone calls, and lifted this campaign on your shoulders—you are our backbone. We put forth a valiant effort - at last count we were outspent by $8 million dollars. The fact that we made the race this close is a testament to all of you. You put your hearts into it, and because of you, we made our voices heard. While we didn’t cross the finish line first, we fought for the values we hold dear, and I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you.

"I congratulate my opponent, Josh Riley. Josh, ran a tough race, and the people of this district have placed their faith in him. I wish you and your team success in serving our community, and I hope you’ll listen closely to the voices of every single person in this district. They’re counting on you.

"I also thank President Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, and my colleagues here in New York and across the country who stepped forward to support us. Your encouragement and belief in our mission meant the world to me. Though we didn't achieve the outcome we desired, you helped bring this race across the finish line with integrity and purpose.

"To my supporters— the outcome may bring disappointment, but please know this: we haven’t lost. Our values, our hopes, our dreams for America—they are still here, and they’re worth fighting for. I may not be in office, but I’m here to work alongside you to make this state safer, to tackle the fentanyl crisis, to secure our borders, and to give every family a fair shot at a better future.

"I've always been proud of where I come from and representing New York's 19th Congressional District for the past two years has been an honor of a lifetime.

"My commitment to this country doesn't end here. I'll keep fighting, keep pushing, and keep believing in the people pf Upstate New York. There’s more to be done, and I’ll be right here with you.

"And finally, to my family—my wife, Corinne, my children, and my mother who was right there with me throughout this journey—you are my strength and my heart. This journey was ours together, and I’m so grateful for your love and your support.

"So today, let’s look forward. Let’s keep working, keep building, and keep lifting each other up. Our story is far from over and we will continue to make a difference. Thank you all. May God bless you and may God bless America."
