Finding invincible summer in the midst of the depths of winter seemed to me an apt metaphor as our nation braces for a large winter storm.

It is also an ultimate anthem for the human spirit. It suggests that our internal strength is not merely a reaction to hardship, but a fundamental, pre-existing force that we often only discover when the "winter" of life becomes most severe.
