CALLICOON, NY — The Villa Roma Resort has resumed operations following the resolution of the outstanding electricity account. The full amount due has been cleared.
Management says it moved quickly to address the issue and remains focused on ensuring a smooth return to normal operations for guests, timeshare owners and employees.
“We have addressed the electricity matter and are focused on getting Villa Roma fully operational again. Our priority is to welcome our guests, owners and employees back and continue the work we have underway across the resort,” said Sandeep Wadhwa, chairman of the FAY Investment Group. “Since the acquisition, Fay Hospitality has invested more than $11 million in management operations, renovations and capital improvements, and remains committed to fully upgrading and renovating the resort.”
Villa Roma was acquired by Fay Hospitality Catskills LLC on September 6, 2024 for $20.7 million from long-time owners Marty Passante and Paul Carlucci, who had owned and operated the resort for 54 years.
