It’s about the importance of the dairy industry

HONESDALE, PA — On April 15, Wayne County Dairy Princess Elektra Kehagias was a guest at the Wayne Pike Pennsylvania Farm Bureau spring dinner.

She began the evening with a Milk Toast that honored the tireless work of local dairy producers, the importance of dairy cows and the nutritious milk they provide.

The dairy princess also performed a skit that included playing the violin to her puppet cows and the audience.

The focus of the skit was to create awareness of the stringent and effective measures of quality control in dairy production.

Elektra Kehagias is devoted to promoting the importance of local dairy farmers and dairy products. She has always felt that food security is a matter of national security, and she looks forward to finding ways in her future to assist the dairy farmers of Pennsylvania. She wants to get the word out about supporting local dairy production.
