PIKE COUNTY, PA — The Pike County Commissioners announced that they are supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity of Pike County with a $75,000 contribution toward their mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.
"With the 38th home complete and the groundwork for the 39th underway, we are grateful for their dedication to strengthening our community," said the commissioners.
The funding comes from Act 137, also known as the Optional County Affordable Housing Funds Act, which allows PA counties to use recording fees for deeds and mortgages to fund affordable housing projects and programs.
