PIKE COUNTY, PA — Pike County Area Agency on Aging has been notified that a local senior received a phone call from a scammer impersonating an Agency staff member. The caller attempted to sign the individual up for an emergency response button and requested bank information to complete the purchase. 

The Agency will never ask for bank information or request information over the phone. It urges seniors not to share financial information over the phone. 

Anyone who receives a call is asked to call the Agency office at 570/775-5550 and to ask for a protective service worker to report it.
