SOUTH CANAAN TOWNSHIP, PA — Lake Township resident Carlo A. Demarco, 67, was declared dead after a morcycle accident in South Canaan Township on Thursday, May 29.
The Wayne County Coroner's office was dispatched to the scene of the accident on May 29 at 6:27 p.m. The accident took place near the intersection of Walsh Road and Easton Turnpike (State Route 296.)
The Pennsylvania State Police reported that Demarco was traveling around a left curve and went off the road, hitting a traffic sign and being thrown from his motorcycle.
Wayne County Coroner Edward R. Howell responded and pronounced an adult male dead at the scene at 6:53 PM. Deputy Coroner Felicia Clark also responded and assisted in this death investigation.
The decedent was not wearing a helmet, and no other vehicles or individuals were involved in this tragic incident. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries due to motorcycle collission; the manner of death was determined to be an accident.
