Older Sullivan adults: Help OFA

MONTICELLO, NY — “What one change would most improve your ability to live well and independently in Sullivan County?” asks the Sullivan County Office for the Aging (OFA).

That’s the last question of a short survey the OFA is encouraging local residents aged 55 and up to answer.

“We really want and need to know how best to meet people where they’re at—in their homes, in their lives, in their families,” says Office for the Aging Director Lise-Anne Deoul. “Yes, we have plenty of activities and programs at locations across the county, but we also seek to reach people on their home turf.”

That’s why other questions ask if respondents are unpaid caregivers, where a meal site might be most useful, whom they trust for reliable information, and how they prefer to receive updates and alerts.

Visit www.sullivanny.gov and click on Older Adult Community Needs Survey 2026 on the Office for the Aging page, or contact the office at 845/807-0241 to obtain a paper copy.
