PIKE COUNTY, PA — Northwell Health plans to open two primary care centers in Pike County, and shared information about the centers at a Thursday, November 20 meeting.
The company plans to open its first office in Dingman’s Ferry, with the office ready to take appointments within the next few weeks, according to Dr. Brahim Ardolic, Northwell’s deputy regional executive director for the western region.
The company plans to open a second location in Hawley later in 2026, with Ardolic saying it is aiming for an opening sometime in the summer.
Northwell representatives said the locations won’t be urgent care centers, but will offer some “quick care” services and walk-ins are welcome.
It plans to adapt the services it offers to the needs of county residents, as it gets a sense of who’s visiting the offices, said Ardolic.
County residents who want to express specific service needs and requests can reach Jonathan Mignola, senior director of western region ambulatory operations, at jmignola@northwell.edu.
As well, Northwell continues to make plans to build a “micro-hospital” in Pike County, defined as a hospital with about the resources of a community hospital. According to Ardolic, opening a hospital in Pennsylvania has proved “not that simple,” and the company did not have any specific details about a timeline.
