No Kings Day in Sullivan County, NY

We Are One Sullivan, Sullivan County’s Indivisible group, will host a No Kings Day sidewalk action in Monticello on Saturday, October 18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

On that day, we will join concerned citizens across the country and raise our voices to say that America is a democracy and not a monarchy.

Bring your voices, your signs, your friends, family and love of country.

We plan to stand on the sidewalks on both sides of Broadway, from Jones Street to Jefferson Street.

This is not a march. Pick a spot and join some friends there.

You’ll find parking nearby, on North Street and on Bushnell Avenue.

“No Kings” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. It echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.

Join us for this peaceful demonstration and remember: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
