MILFORD, PA — The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department on Sunday, June 1 announced the launch of its newest community policing initiative, the 'I Was Caught' Program, aimed at fostering positive behavior and building stronger relationships between local youth and law enforcement.

The program is designed to recognize and reward young individuals who are 'caught' doing the right thing—whether it's helping a neighbor, showing kindness, wearing their bike helmet or performing any act of good citizenship. Officers observing these acts will present the youth with a special 'I Was Caught' coin as a token of appreviation.

Each coin includes a barcode that can be redeemed at participating local businesses for a small reward. This simple, yet powerful system reinforces positive behavior and encourages mutual respect and trust between youth and officers.

“The ‘I Was Caught’ program is about recognizing the everyday good choices our young people make and showing them that their actions matter,” said Chad Stewart, Chief of the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department. “It’s also a great opportunity for us to strengthen connections with the community we serve.”

The department extends sincere gratitude to the local businesses supporting this program. Their partnership makes these rewards possible and highlights the community’s shared commitment to promoting good citizenship.
