PORT JERVIS, NY — The Four Seasons Chorale and the Port Jervis/Tri-State Warming Station invite all to a benefit concert to support individuals experiencing homelessness. It will be held on Friday, November 6 at 7 p.m. at the United Presbyterian & Reformed Church, located at 60 Sussex St.
Sponsors of this Four Seasons Chorale concert are Jeff Bank and Bavoso Law, PLLC.
The concert is free, with an opportunity to donate for the upcoming winter season of the Warming Station, which serves people in the tri-state area, and is a program of Together In Hope. The Warming Station will provide overnight emergency shelter with meals from November 15, 2026 to April 1, 2027.
The intergenerational musical program will feature the Four Seasons Chorale, the New Life School Youth Choir, the Dingman-Delaware Children’s Choir and the return of guest drummer Maxwell Kofi Donkor.
This will be the 11th year that the Port Jervis/Tri-State Warming Station has offered help to those experiencing homelessness in the area. Last season, the Warming Station provided life-saving wintertime services during freezing temperatures for over 87 guests, the chorale wrote. On-site caseworkers connected 21 guests with the Department of Social Services and other service providers for long-term assistance. In addition, Veterans received opportunities to work and get on housing waiting lists; Medicaid insurance and SNAP benefits were acquired for some guests; many received needed clothing and footwear, donated by the community and the Salvation Army.
For 134 nights, hot meals were donated by a caring community signing up online at Warming Station Meal Train.
This season, Together In Hope plans to pilot an educational program for its guests, offering GED and selected job skill training opportunities. A survey of guests last season indicated strong interest in gaining qualifications and skills for the job market.
Volunteers are always needed in a variety of roles at the Warming Station, the chorale said. This past season, over 2,000 volunteer hours were donated. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, call Kathy at 914/850-5586.
