I saw the new ad featuring “Steve from Wilkes-Barre” claiming Congressman Rob Bresnahan cut Medicare. That’s just a flat-out lie.
Medicare wasn’t touched. Seniors are still receiving their benefits, and there were no cuts to the program. If Steve is talking about Medicaid, he should say so. Even then, the vote was aimed at reducing waste, fraud and abuse, not taking health care away from those who need it.
These political ads count on voters confusing Medicare and Medicaid. That’s misleading, and voters deserve better. If Steve wants to criticize Congressman Bresnahan, that’s his right. But he should get the facts straight first.
