Martin Hersh to speak on elder law

HURLEYVILLE, NY — An informational meeting about elder law
will take place at the Casa Mia Restaurant at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. It is hosted by the Professional Women of Sullivan County (PWSC), a chapter of New York State Women, Inc.

Martin Hersh is the keynote speaker. 

Hersh is the principal attorney of his private practice in Liberty, where he specializes in elder law, trusts, estates and Medicaid planning. 

His practice includes:

Estate planning: Drafting and implementing custom estate planning for all ages, which plans typically include wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers o f attorney and/or health care-related documents.

Asset protection: Designing complex irrevocable trusts and Medicaid planning strategies to protect family homes and life savings from long-term care costs.
Estate administration: Guiding families through probate and the administration of diverse estate portfolios.

Hersh has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.  He is a longtime member of the New York State Bar Association well as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys State Bar Association, its Elder Law and Special Needs Section.
He has been a member o f the executive committee of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section for many years and was Chair of the Section in 2017-2018.
