MILFORD, PA — A best-selling author, a TV host, a US Constitution expert and a reality TV star will be among the many authors coming to town for the 2026 Readers and Writers Festival weekend, beginning September 18th-20th.

“I’m thrilled that our Main Stage will feature some of the year’s most talked-about books and authors,” said co-chair Brian Carso. “From the Declaration of Independence to ‘The Daily Show,’ we’ve got something for everyone.”

Carol McManus, President of Pike Artworks and Festival Co-Chair since 2018, noted, “This is the 11th year for the festival and we have grown and matured as our audience gives us valuable feedback.” She added, “We are appreciative of those who have contributed their time and talent in the past as well as those who continue to work tirelessly to produce this amazing event every year.”

On Saturday in the Milford Theater, sessions are:

  • “From Tennis Pro to The Daily Show” Emmy-winning host and Senior Correspondent on “The Daily Show,” Michael Kosta will talk about his career and memoir, “Lucky Loser: Adventures in Tennis and Comedy,”
  • “The Ties That Bind” Best-selling author Mary Beth Keane will discuss her novels “Whale Harbor,” “The Half Moon,” and “Ask Again, Yes.”
  • “How Real is Reality TV?”  Star of reality TV show “Survivor” Stephen Fishbach will talk about his experience and novel, “Escape!” Fishbach is also a bestselling novelist and Pushcart Prize-winning short story writer.
  • “We Hold These Truths” Appearing for the 250th anniversary of the United States, early American historian Dr. Emily Sneff is the author of “When the Declaration of Independence Was News” and she’ll focus on the nation’s founding document at the moment of its creation in 1776.

Full Passes, which include the reception, can be purchased online now. Individual tickets will be available beginning in June. Please visit www.milfordreadersandwriters.com for updates.

Stay tuned! Besides the mainstage events, throughout the weekend there’ll be free panels and workshops on various topics appealing to writers, would-be writers, authors and readers alike.
