HONESDALE, PA — Recently, Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) celebrated the contributions of its laboratory professionals and recognized the precision, skill and purpose they bring to patient care every day, the hospital said. This year’s theme is “Lab Story: To Infinity and Beyond for Our Patients.”
Dr. Sibyl Rickard, medical director of WMH anatomic and clinical laboratories, expressed the highest appreciation for the staff and their significant role in patients’ outcomes.
“We recognize the incredible work of our laboratory team,” she said. “Behind nearly every diagnosis, treatment decision and hospital stay is the careful work of highly skilled laboratory professionals.” She went on to explain that staff members perform complex testing, ensure accuracy, and maintain quality and safety standards.
“To our medical laboratory scientists, medical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists and all support staff: Thank you for your dedication and commitment to excellence,” added Dr. Rickard.
