HONESDALE BOROUGH, PA — The Borough of Honesdale Borough Council will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28 to review proposed zoning amendments providing for multi-family housing development in additional areas of the borough.

The ordinance would  broaden the definition of mixed-use development to include development "with two or
more different but compatible uses such as residential, office, retail, service, or public/semi-public uses," and would add "multi-family dwellings" to the C1 and C2 zoning districts of Honesdale,  which loosely cover Main Street and Route 6 lots respectively.

A copy of the full text of the ordinance may be obtained by contacting the borough secretary and may also be viewed and downloaded at honesdaleborough.com. The public hearing will take place at 958 Main Street, and will be followed by a council meeting to take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19 to adopt the proposed zoning amendments.
