Honesdale High honors its graduates

HONESDALE, PA — The 147th senior class of Honesdale High School, the 2022 graduating class, gathered for its commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 11. “Now, as we graduate, and all embark on our own individual journeys, remember that success is not defined by the opportunities that you were given, rather by what you make of the opportunities that you have. To find success you must seize the day, you need to want it so bad that nothing can even dream of getting in your way,” said class president John Rodriguez in opening remarks.

Addressing the class prior to the presentation of diplomas, Wayne Highlands District Superintendent Gregory Frigoletto said, “Seniors, whether you’re the ‘this day came quickly’ or the ‘this day would never come’ variety, doesn’t matter. Whatever brought you here, whether a rocky road or smooth sailing, you are here. You all have that in common. You have made it to this day. However, differences will begin as you leave this gymnasium today. You will go in diverse directions, pursuing many different interests, fulfilling each of your very different dreams, and in so doing, hopefully, becoming productive and helpful members of society. That is important and necessary, and truth be told, we are counting on you.”
