HARRISBURG, PA — On August 9, the Green Party’s statewide candidates were accepted on the 2024 general election ballot by the PA Department of State.

Candidates Jill Stein for president, Leila Hazou for U.S. Senate, and Richard L. Weiss for PA Attorney General had not been challenged by the deadline.

GPPA Co-chair Jeremy Griffin credited the effectiveness of grassroots organizing, with volunteers and petitioners exceeding the party’s goal of 10,000 signatures.

GPPA Steering Committee member Alex Casper said its candidates are addressing community issues such as homelessness, mass incarceration and fracking.

The Green Party of PA is an independent political party focused on grassroots democracy, nonviolence, ecological wisdom and social justice/equal opportunity.
