Ghost stories at TMR

NARROWSBURG, NY — The next history talk—titled “Local Ghost Stories”—will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at the open-air Karl Bernstein Cayuga/Kotohke cabin at the Ten Mile River Scout Museum (TMR).

The local legends range from murder on the Stone Arch Bridge to the stories of Stephen Crane.

All evening history talks will be led by co-director Glenn Pontier.

The Ten Mile River Scout Museum is located on the grounds of Ten Mile River Scout Camps’ headquarters at 1481 County Rd. 26.

All events are open to Scouts and the general public.

Museum hours are Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Wednesdays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The museum is also open by appointment.
