NORTHEAST PA — The Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee recently donated the children’s book, “Sugarbush Spring” to all public libraries and elementary schools in Wayne and Pike counties.

Written by Martha Wilson Chall with watercolor illustrations by Jim Daly, the book “invites children to share in the pleasure of making maple syrup, a process that remains the same today as it was 200 years ago,” the farm bureau said.

Begun in 2012, PA Farm Bureau’s FARM-tastic book program strives to put ag-accurate books into the hands of schoolchildren to teach them the real story of the many facets of agriculture.
