Democrats embrace democracy; the GOP doesn’t

With the midterms fast approaching, too many voters are thinking, “I have issues with both sides,” as if we are choosing between two equally leaking umbrellas. Truly, one side tries hard but often produces disappointment. The other side produces unbridled cruelty, chaos, corruption and serious threats to democratic institutions, along with endless wars and mindless tariffs that make life intolerably expensive.

If you enjoy waking up wondering what new outrage, scandal or international crises await you, the Republican Party has just what you are looking for. If you really support the ongoing cataclysmic decline in American life and values, go ahead and empower Trumpism by voting Republican. But please spare us the false equivalence that “they are just the same.”

Not at all so. Flawed as they may be, Democrats truly embrace democracy and  will keep working to make our flawed systems work for everyone.
