TOWN OF THOMPSON, NY — The Town of Thompson is spreading the word about a new scholarship fund for the YMCA Thompson Camp.
“Chris, Christina, Kristen and I are raising $40,000 for the Linda and Anthony Cellini Scholarship Fund in honor of our parents and the impact they had on our lives and our community,” said the Cellinis’ son Todd. “Our families will match the first $20,000 raised.”
“In 2026, the fund will award a $5,000 camp scholarship grant in the Town of Thompson, helping provide meaningful opportunities for children to learn, grow and participate in camp experiences,” he continued. “This effort would not have been created or finalized without the support of local leadership, including Bill Rieber, Meagan Galligan, Scott Mace and Paula Kay.”
“Our parents helped start and build this camp, which makes this effort even more meaningful to our family. Simply put: we want to make sure kids have the chance to go to camp—every year, forever,” Cellini said.
“Our goal is to support camp scholarships annually, in perpetuity, through continued interest growth of the fund.
If you are able to contribute or share, your support is greatly appreciated.”
