HONESDALE, PA — A vacant plot of land off Route 6 in Honesdale has been acquired as the site of a new headquarters for Buselli Solutions, a household solar and energy solutions provider.
The location—currently a vacant hillside opposite the Route 6 Sherwin-Williams paint store—will set the company up for growth and give it easier opportunities for engagement with the community.
Buselli Solutions CEO Blair Buselli told the River Reporter the company has outgrown its current headquarters in Beach Lake.
“Operating as many guys as we have with one garage door is a little difficult at times,” he said.
The new location will be fully set up as a showroom for the company’s energy offerings. The building will be equipped with solar panels, with the goal of having it operate primarily without reliance on the grid.
In addition, the company will be able to bring interested customers directly into its showroom—as a demonstration, it can pull a switch to disconnect the building from its primary source of power and show customers that the lights don’t even flicker as the backup system comes in, said Buselli.
The company will be more visible to customers in its new, highly trafficked location along Route 6. In addition, the size of the new space will facilitate its efforts toward community outreach.
Buselli said the company will be able to invite students from Honesdale High School’s vocational tech program—as well as from other area schools—into the new facility to get hands-on experience with the trades.
The company already does demonstrations with local renewable energy nonprofit SEEDS, said Buselli. Now, they can have these presentations in their own space.
Buselli Solutions is eyeing early 2026 to have the new facility up and running, he said. “We’re excited about it.”
The planned expansion for Buselli Solutions comes at a time of hesitation for much of the solar industry.
The “Big Beautiful Bill,” a spending package passed recently by the Trump administration, cuts $449 billion dollars’ worth of clean energy tax incentives, according to reporting from Inside Climate News. These tax credits included those for personal solar installation, the kind offered by Buselli Solutions.
Blair Buselli said the tax credits being cut has cast a bit of a dark cloud over the solar world.
“Yes, there might be a little bump in the industry,” but the changes will primarily impact the “bottom feeders” who jumped into the industry recently, seeing that it was a hot market and failing to do professional work, he said.
Buselli Solutions has been in the industry almost two decades—Buselli remembers attending early solar trainings in 2007 or 2008—and has an established customer base, as well as the benefit of a community that’s excited about renewable energy.
Additionally, the company has diversified its offerings through past solar ups and downs, he said, with other offerings including battery back-up power.
