The committee collaborates with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to oversee and shape the state’s grant and loan programs that drive business growth, innovation and community development.

“I am honored to take on this leadership role to support Pennsylvania’s economic growth and community well-being,” said Brown. “This committee plays a pivotal role in ensuring our state remains competitive by fostering business development, creating jobs, uncovering opportunities and improving the quality of life for all residents.”

As chairwoman, Brown will also provide oversight for several major authorities that contribute to the state’s economic and technological advancement, including:

Commonwealth Financing Authority

Brown brings extensive legislative experience and a deep commitment to Pennsylvania’s communities to the new role. Her leadership will focus on creating opportunities for business expansion, supporting local communities and ensuring that state resources are invested wisely to benefit all Pennsylvanians.
