MILFORD, PA — Learn about the natural world in both far-off places and closer to home when explorer Richard Wiese comes to Milford on Saturday, September 14 during the Milford Readers and Writers Festival weekend.
Wiese, who climbed Kilimanjaro at age 11, was the longest-serving president of the Explorers Club and was the producer and host of the Emmy-winning ABC and PBS program “Born to Explore.”
During the festival, on Saturday, September 14 at 3:45 p.m. at the Milford Theatre, he will talk about his travels and his book, titled “Born to Explore: How to Be a Backyard Adventurer.” Megan Smith-Harris, a playwright and documentary film producer, will be his partner for the discussion.
The mainstage program will include a Q&A with Wiese. A book signing will be held at the theatre following the panels that day.
The festival also offers a variety of free programs.
Ticket prices vary.
