U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright was endorsed for reelection by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO. The AFL-CIO is the largest federation of unions in the United States; its Pennsylvania chapter represents 700,000 working men and women.

The AFL-CIO endorsed Cartwright for his proven, determined support for organized labor and working families.

“Organized labor built northeastern Pennsylvania—and with it, our country’s middle class,” Cartwright said. “I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with unions, and promise to keep fighting for good-paying jobs, dignity in retirement and an affordable cost of living for working families.”

Rep. Cartwright’s opponent in PA-08 has been endorsed by Americans for Prosperity Action. Americans for Prosperity Action lobbies against union rights.
