Fall is beginning to make its way into Lake Huntington, bringing cooler mornings, earlier sunsets and the first hints of color in the trees. Before long, our hills will be filled with the reds, oranges and golds that make this time of year so beautiful. It’s a great season to slow down, enjoy the crisp air and take in all that fall in our little corner of the Catskills has to offer.
Here are some events happening in our community and beyond:
The Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid has announced that the Penny Social originally scheduled for Saturday, October 17 has been cancelled. Please help spread the word to friends and neighbors who may have been planning to attend.
The Cochecton Youth Commission will be holding its annual Trunk or Treat on October 31 at 11 a.m. This fun Halloween event is open to Cochecton youth only, and sign-ups are required to participate. The Youth Commission is also looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks and help make the event extra special for local kids. Anyone interested in volunteering a trunk can call or text Heather at 845/796-6976.
