PENNSYLVANIA — In the afternoon of July 11, acording to the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency issued an Emergency Alert indicating Pennsylvania is experiencing a statewide intermittent 9-1-1 outage. Individuals experiencing issues contacting 9-1-1 are asked to contact their local 9-1-1 center on their non-emergency lines.
Anyone having difficulties contacting 911 in Wayne County should contact the Wayne County 911 center on the Administration line at 570/253-3109, according to Wayne County.
The issues with 911 access are statewide and the cause is being investigated by the authorities, according to Wayne County.
