State Police at Liberty Arrest New Jersey Woman for Welfare Fraud

On May 9, 2014 State Police at Liberty arrested a Lafayette, New Jersey woman for Welfare Fraud. Christine Cantagallo, age 23 was arrested after an investigation conducted by the New York State Police and the Sullivan County Department of Health and Family Services Fraud Unit. The investigation determined that Cantagallo submitted vouchers for reimbursement for child care services that she never provided.

Cantagallo was charged with Welfare Fraud 4th Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Liberty Court on May 15, 2014. State Police were assisted by the Sullivan County DHS Fraud Unit.
