On November 12, 2013, Schultz was arrested following an investigation into an unlawful surveillance that occurred in the Town of Greenville. The investigation revealed that Schultz had placed a video recording device in the bathroom of his residence and recorded a female without her knowledge. Schultz was not related to the victim.

Schultz was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable on 11/20/13 at 7 p.m. in the Town of Greenville Town Court.
