On Monday, September 16 at 1:45 p.m., Honesdale Police were called to the Honesdale High School for a weapon found on school property. An investigation revealed that staff were made aware that a 15-year-old student had a knife in a locker. Staff then conducted a search of the student’s locker and located a Swiss Army-type knife.
The knife was turned over to police by school staff. A charge of possession of weapon on school property, a misdemeanor of the first degree, will be filed against the juvenile.
