Monticello man kicks officer in groin

Monticello police arrested Michael Boyles (23) of Monticello on Wednesday 4/24/13. Boyles was charged with felony assault in the 2n degree, misdemeanor resisting arrest and violation of harassment in the 2nd degree.

At 11:20 PM Wednesday Monticello police responded to a reported disturbance inside the Broadway Mobil Mart. Boyles had been involved in a dispute with a 22 year-old female. During the dispute Boyles punched, pushed and slapped the female.

When officers went to arrest Boyles he struggled with the arresting officers forcing the officers to have to wrestle him to the ground and handcuff him. Boyles was then brought to the Monticello.

Upon exiting a patrol vehicle Boyles kicked an officer in the groin. Boyles was arraigned before acting village of Monticello justice martin miller and remanded to the Sullivan County on $15,000.00 bail pending further court action.
