Honesdale hit and run, altered prescription, theft from motor vehicle

The Honesdale Borough Police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred in the parking lot of Stephens Pharmacy. According to Police, on October 9th sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., an unknown vehicle struck the driver-side of the victim’s vehicle which was parked in the parking lot off of 11th Street. The victim’s vehicle is a Subaru station wagon. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Borough police at (570) 253-1900.

The Honesdale Borough Police filed charges of Unsworn Falsification to Authorities and Criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance on Amanda Hallock, age 30 from Lake Ariel. According to Police, on September 23rd, Hallock allegedly attempted to obtain a new prescription from Highland Physicians after she altered the prescription. After being questioned by police, she then wrote a false statement.

The Honesdale Borough Police filed charges of criminal conspiracy to commit theft and theft from a motor vehicle on Kyle Baxter, age 24 from Honesdale and Jessi Eldred, age 24 from Beach Lake after they conspired to and took a catalytic convertor from a vehicle. According to Borough police, the incident occurred on August 22nd when the convertor was taken from the victim’s vehicle on 8th Street in Honesdale Borough.
