WALTON, NY — United Health Services Delaware Valley Hospital is sponsoring a MASH Camp for area 10th, 11th and 12th grade students on Tuesday, October 24 and Wednesday, October 25. Registration is due by Tuesday, October 17.

Last year, 11 area schools were represented, including some from Broome County, and the Pennsylvania and Syracuse areas.

Students can choose which day they would like to attend.

“Our staff members have all come up with creative ways to give the students hands-on experiences within their departments,“ said Cindy Gardepe, Human Resource director.

Hospital departments participating in MASH Camp include the inpatient medical unit, ambulatory services, emergency department, imaging, lab, respiratory and physical and occupational therapy, plus the primary care office as well as the outpatient pharmacy.

Students receive lunch, and a backpack filled with a variety of swag items and information.

Applications can be picked up at area schools’ guidance counselors’ offices, or call Cindy Gardepe, Director DVH Human Resources at 607/865-2171. There is no charge to attend.
