Take a field trip to Good Find Farm

Posted

ABRAHAMSVILLE, PA — Visit a local farm and hear the story of how the farmers got started on Sunday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Good Find Farm.

The trip is sponsored by Farm Arts Collective.

Owner Erica Madden will take guests on a tour of her farm (the former site of Willow Wisp Organic Farm) and share her story of the journey she and her partner Theron Montgomery are on to build a diverse and sustainable farming practice.

They are young farmers, and say that even though they have six years in, they are “still a beginning farm, figuring out what works for us here on this land.”

The farm is nestled in a valley surrounded by fellow meat farmers and has a rich heritage of agricultural and gardening practices in the Abrahamsville hamlet.

Madden will offer refreshing drinks and light snacks after the tour.

They will also open a small farm store, set up with limited items for tour participants to purchase—including garlic, honey, herbs and a small selection of vegetables.

The farm is located at 25 Stone House Rd.

The registration fee is $20 and children are free. Preregistration is encouraged at www.farmartscollective.org.
