Sullivan BOCES Career & Tech students place at state competition

SYRACUSE, NY — Sixteen dedicated students from Sullivan BOCES' Vision Health program recently journeyed to Syracuse for the prestigious New York State SkillsUSA competition. Over the course of three days, talented individuals from across the state showcased their vocational prowess in various categories.

Representing Sullivan BOCES and Sullivan County with distinction, our students excelled in their respective competitions.

Among the highlights: the Health Knowledge Bowl team comprising Jillian Carlsen, Kritika Talukder, Mahi Patel and Lorna Dewitt secured an impressive second-place finish.

Additionally, Cathy Delgado Flores demonstrated her skill by clinching third place in the Cosmetology Jr. competition.

Jeffery Molusky, executive principal of the Career and Technical Education Center, expressed immense pride in the students' accomplishments. "We are incredibly proud of our students who participated in this statewide competition. Their hard work and dedication are evident, and their success is a testament to their expertise in their respective fields."
