Mamakating

9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.—Memorial Day services will be held by the Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947 at the following locations. Times are approximate.

9 a.m.—Poplar Grove Cemetery.

9:45 a.m.—Monument at the Phillipsport Community Center.

10:30 a.m.—Burlingham Cemetery.

11:15 a.m.—Pine Hill Cemetery.

Sunday, May 26

Livingston Manor

2 p.m.—Chicken barbecue hosted by the Beaverkill Valley Fire Department.

Tusten-Highland-Lumberland

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—Ceremony services, held by the Tusten-Highland-Lumberland VFW Post 6427 to honor our deceased veterans, at the following sites:

11 a.m.—Lava Cemetery.

11:30 a.m.—St. Francis Cemetery.

11:45 a.m.—Glen Cove Cemetery.

2 p.m.—Ceremony, Old Tusten Church.

Monday, May 27

Barryville

9:15 a.m.—Memorial service at the Barryville Cemetery, conducted by Sylvan Liebla American Legion Post 1363.

Bloomingburg

11 a.m.—Memorial Day service at the Bloomingburg Cemetery, held by the Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947.

Eldred

8:45 a.m.—Memorial service, conducted by the Sylvan Liebla American Legion Post 1363 at the Eldred Cemetery.

1 p.m.—Memorial Day services, held by the Tusten-Highland-Lumberland VFW Post 6427 and Sylvan Liebla American Legion Post 1363 at Heroes Park, located at the corner of Route 55 and Proctor Road. Refreshments will be served afterward.

Fremont Center

9:30 a.m.—140th annual memorial service at Veterans Park, held by the Allan Milk Memorial VFW Post 7276 and H. Russell Kenyon VFW Post 5808. 

10 a.m.—Memorial Day parade. Starts at Veterans Monument. Parade follows down County Route 94. 

10:45 a.m.—Flag-folding ceremony featuring a guest speaker and awards.

Glen Spey

10 a.m.—The Town of Lumberland will hold a brief event in commemoration of Memorial Day at the Lumberland Town Hall, 1054 Proctor Rd. The event begins inside the town hall. Refreshments will be available. 

Kauneonga Lake

Arrive prior to 11 a.m.—Memorial Day service, held by the Sgt. Andrew Brucher-Bailey-Richman VFW Post 5499, in Veterans Park across the street from the Kauneonga Lake Fire House. This year’s guest speaker will be The Hon. James Farrell, Sullivan County Court Judge. Service starts at 11 a.m., but attendees are asked to arrive before that time.

Liberty

10:30 a.m.—Memorial Day parade down Main Street, hosted by the Town of Liberty and Corp. Russell Sprague VFW Post 109. Parade will conclude with a ceremony at the Liberty Veterans Cemetery on Cold Spring Road.

Livingston Manor

10 a.m.— Memorial Day parade will head down Main Street and conclude at Rock Avenue (the old VFW property). Ceremony to follow. Lineup begins at 9:30 a.m.

Long Eddy

1 p.m.—Memorial service at the Long Eddy Cemetery, held by the Alan Milk Memorial VFW Post 7276. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon at the Long Eddy Firehouse.

Mamakating

9 a.m.—Dedication and service at the Summitville Fire House and Monument, 3978 Rte. 209, held by the Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947. 

11 a.m.—Memorial Day service at the Bloomingburg Cemetery.

1 p.m.—Wurtsboro Memorial Day parade. Lineup takes place at 12:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 92 Pine St. The parade will end at the Wurtsboro Fire House, where refreshments and ice cream will be served. Memorial service participants will continue on to Veteran’s Park on Sullivan Street for the Memorial Day service. 

Monticello

10 a.m.—Memorial service at the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North St. Hosted by the Sullivan County Jewish War Veterans.

Narrowsburg

11 a.m.—Memorial Day service to be held at Fort Delaware, 6615 Rte. 97. Hosted by Delaware Lodge #561 Free and Accepted Masons. 

Port Jervis

10:30 a.m.—Memorial Day parade. Lineup  9:30 a.m. at East Main and Penn Avenue.

11 a.m.—Ceremony at Orange Square Park. 

Roscoe

10 a.m.—Memorial Day parade, held by the Floyd Keener American Legion Post 315. 

11 a.m.—Memorial Day ceremony will be held immediately after the parade in front of the Roscoe-Rockland Firehouse. 

Sullivan County

1 p.m.—Memorial Day service and wreath-laying ceremony, held by the Sullivan County Veterans Service Agency at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, 181 Sunset Lake Rd. in Liberty. Master of Ceremonies is director Stephen Walsh.

Summitville

9 a.m.—Dedication and service at the Summitville Fire House and Monument, 3978 Rte. 209, held by the Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947. 

Wurtsboro

1 p.m.—Memorial Day parade hosted by American Legion Post 1266 and Edward M. Maier Memorial VFW Post 4947. Lineup takes place at American Legion Post at 92 Pine St. The parade will end at the Wurtsboro Fire House, where refreshments and ice cream will be served. Memorial service participants will continue on to Veteran’s Park on Sullivan Street for the Memorial Day service. 

Pennsylvania

Sunday, May 26

Hawley

1 p.m.—Memorial Day parade passes through downtown Hawley. Lineup to be held at 12 noon at Riverside Park and Church Street. 

Monday, May 27 

Honesdale

10 a.m.—Memorial Day parade. Begins at 5th and Main Streets and runs north, turns onto 9th Street and ends in Central Park.  

Pleasant Mount

10 a.m.—Roll call at Merideth Park (Route 371). Hosted by Pleasant Mount Legion Post 964. 

Lakewood

12 noon—Memorial Day ceremony at Lakewood Memorial Park on Route 370, across from the Lakewood Post Office. Hosted by Lakewood Legion Post 209. 

Milford

10 a.m.—Memorial Day parade from Ann Street Park to Kiehl Park. Lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. Memorial ceremony at the Soldier and Sailor Monument after the parade.
