Fringe Festival calls for creative work

SCRANTON, PA — The nonprofit arts organization Scranton Fringe is calling for submissions for the Scranton Fringe Festival, which will be held this fall. Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 12.

The festival is celebrating its 10th year this fall, and will be held from September 26 to October 6. It fills stages, storefronts and outdoor spaces with an eclectic mix of theatre, music, performance art, film and more, organizers said.

Drawing inspiration from the original Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Scranton Fringe Festival provides a platform for independent artists to showcase their talents.

Scranton Fringe also holds year-round programs, including large professional theatre productions, podcast development, workshops and more.

Artists can submit proposals encompassing a wide range of creative works. Whether it’s reimagining classics, pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms, or exploring new frontiers in performance, all are welcome to apply, festival organizers said.
