Eric D’Alessandro at the Sherman Theatre

STROUDSBURG, PA — Comedian Eric D'Alessandro will perform at the Sherman Theater at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.

D’Alessandro’s unique comedic style, infused with his Italian-American heritage, spins raw, relatable narratives that resonate with the everyday American, a spokesperson said.

D’Alessandro began on YouTube, and now performs sketches, celebrity impressions and comedic covers of popular songs. His characters, notably "Maria Marie," have garnered widespread acclaim.

 One video, titled "where it was," has amassed over 45 million views across platforms. 

D’Alessandro starred in the VH1 movie "Fuhgeddabout Christmas" and the 2016 drama/mystery film, "Nerve," alongside Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. 

 He has also appeared on the Dr. Drew podcast and on Barstool Sports' KFC Radio.  

He is also the creator of the popular YouTube animated show "MariaMogi."

The Sherman Theater is Monroe County’s only nationally ranked nonprofit theater and performing arts center. Located in downtown Stroudsburg, the theater has served the Pocono region for 90 years. The Theater and Performing Arts Center concentrates on strengthening the community by producing culturally diverse, nationally known professional acts and festivals at the theater and at satellite locations throughout Monroe County for people of all ages. It provides an opportunity for local artists to perform, and creates economic development in the region.
