BETHEL, NY — Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy for its Tree Identification Workshop on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the conservancy’s office in Bethel.
Join Amanda Subjin, the conservancy’s stewardship and education coordinator, for a walk on woodland trails on the 119-acre protected property. Attendees will learn how to identify common trees and forest plants in the Upper Delaware River region and about the conservancy’s plans for expanding outdoor education opportunities on the property. Melinda Meddaugh, land protection coordinator for the conservancy, will be available to answer questions about the property’s conservation easement, which protects this piece of farm and woodland from development and subdivision.
