Fly tyers gather at Fly Fest

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Fifty fly tyers will informally gather and shed their cabin fever in a fly-tying frenzy at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM) on Saturday, February 11 at 9 a.m. A wide array of talent and tyers will be on hand to help you learn new patterns. The event, now in its seventh year, is sponsored by local Roscoe retailer Catskill Flies and Classic Trout.com, and supported by SparseGreyMatter.com. Visitors are encouraged to bring their tying gear and join in the fun.

This year’s IceCapades, initiated by the late Jan Weido from the Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited to coincide with Fly Fest, has been cancelled due to lack of safe ice. Visit www.cffcm.net and www.fa cebook.com/cffcm.
