DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has a number of events planned over the coming weeks. A park history tour will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will explore the park to find the many scenic and historic sites within the recreation area. The tour is free for members, and costs $15 for non-members. Bring a water bottle, lunch and a camera. Call to reserve a seat in the van. Carpooling encouraged.
A summer canoe paddle is scheduled for Sunday, June 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will be held at Pickerel Pond, and beginners are welcome. Participants should dress appropriately for getting wet. The cost is $5. To register for the history tour or canoe paddle, call 570/828-2319
Also on June 26, there will be a free Nature at Night program from 8 to 10 p.m. Take a walk in the woods to listen for frogs, look at stars and enjoy the music of the night.
