John K. Hudson of Monticello, NY passed away peacefully Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home after a long illness. He was 77.

The son of the late John and Isabella Norwood Hudson, he was born November 4, 1933 in New Jersey.

John was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 8858 of Harriman, NY and was a member of AARP. He worked as an office worker for Lucent Technologies in New Jersey.

Survivors include his loving wife Audrey Specht “Banks” Hudson at home; sons John G. Hudson and wife Linda of Langhorne, PA and James Hudson and Louis Hudson, both of New York City; daughter Jeanette Hudson of New York City; brothers Thomas Hudson and wife Yen of Fayetteville, NC and Henry Hudson and companion Joyce Haring of Cochecton, NY; sister Margaret Smith of Joliet, IL; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by sister Joan Quatlander; and granddaughter Tiffany.

Cremation and private funeral services were held at Cedar Hill crematory, Middle Hope.
