GLEN SPEY, NY — Raising lettuce, squash and pumpkins at the Homestead School provided a lesson about hunger in our region for six students. Participants in an elective class on agriculture, these middle schoolers decided to donate $500 of their harvest earnings to the Seventh Day Adventist Food Pantry in Sparrowbush, associated with the Hudson Valley Food Bank.
