SOUTH CANAAN TOWNSHIP, PA — Pennsylvania State Police on June 20 responded to a call regarding a gunshot in a home at 147 Daniels Rd., South Canaan Township, Wayne County. When they arrived they found Rebecca Pisall, 20 years old, with a gunshot wound to her head.
Pisall was flown to Geisinger CMC Hospital in Scranton, where she was initially listed in critical condition, but died the next day. Louis Ogden, 51 years old, Pisall’s uncle, was taken into custody.
According to various accounts, Ogden and Pisall argued over a $20 bag of heroin that Ogden allegedly sold to his niece.
The Pennsylvania State Police are attempting to locate three possible witnesses, a male and two females, who were seen leaving the residence shortly after the shooting. They were operating a black Hyundai four-door sedan with a Pennsylvania registration of JHJ8249.
Ogden was charged and arraigned before Magistrate Ron Edwards who set bail at $500,000. Ogden was remanded to the Wayne County prison in lieu of bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 25 at 9 a.m. before Magistrate Ted Mikulak.
