A Livingston Manor woman was arrested for leaving her three young children unattended in a vehicle while she went shopping. On the afternoon of November 26, deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office on patrol in Livingston Manor spotted the three children in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Peck’s supermarket.
The children, ages eight months, two and six years old, were alone and unsupervised. Deputies waited until the children’s mother, Tiffany Banks, age 26, returned from shopping and placed her under arrest.
She was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Banks was issued an appearance ticket returnable on January 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Town of Rockland Justice Court.
