Jannetta M. Carito of Prompton, PA died Friday evening at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was 84. Her husband, Joseph Carito, died in 1997.
Born in 1928 in Cochecton Center NY, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Frances Case Dailey.
She worked in the garment industry and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, PA. She loved gardening, doing home improvements and sewing.
Surviving are one brother; Richard Dailey of Cochecton Center; her caregiver, niece Terry Hanson of Equinunk, PA; and several other nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 9, from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 2 Hospital St., Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Carbondale in the spring.
