Traffic stop leads to drug charges for two Pennsylvani residents

On March 13, 2013 State Police at Liberty arrested two subjects for possessing marijuana and ecstasy after a vehicle and traffic stop on Eldred -Yulan Road in the Town of Highland. At approximately 1:15pm, a Trooper patrolling the Eldred area conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by MARTIN CORA, age 23 and CHELSEA CURTIS age 23, both of Bloomsburg, PA.

Subsequent to a lawful search of the vehicle, the occupants were found to possess more than four pounds of marijuana, fifty marijuana infused candy bars packaged for sale in the state of Colorado, and a small quantity of ecstasy.

Cora was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree. Curtis was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the second degree. Both were arraigned in the Town of Highland Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set.
