JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jeff Bank announced that starting January 1, 2015, all branch locations owned by the bank will be tobacco-free. They are implementing this initiative to improve the health and quality of life of their employees and the community.

“When Sullivan County ranks next to last at 61 out of 62 New York State counties in overall health, we know we have a problem,” said Wayne Zanetti, Jeff Bank CEO and president. “If we can help to improve the health of our employees and our community, we have a responsibility to do so. We feel going tobacco-free at Jeff Bank is an excellent place to start.”

Jeff Bank will be offering employees on site support groups to educate them about steps they can take to quit using tobacco. Coaching services are proven to help a tobacco user quit successfully. Information and tips will also be offered on Jeff Bank’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/jeffersonvillebank.
